Celebrating Ocean Vuong and 'Time Is a Mother'

Last Friday, Cero Collective hosted a reception and reading with our poetry editor Ocean Vuong to celebrate the release of his latest collection, Time Is a Mother. Amid the lush greenery of Garden East at the Times Square EDITION, Vuong gathered with some of his closest friends and family along with guests of Cero Magazine to toast his powerful new book, which touches on grief and connection in the wake of his mother's death. Nan Goldin, Adrienne Warren, Adam Chanler-Berat, Steph Shiu, Makenzie Leigh, Daniel J. Watts, and many others gathered over drinks before Vuong read a selection for the attentive crowd. Afterward, the poet called for hugs all around before guests dispersed into the night carrying personally signed copies of his beautiful work.
