Suburban Splendor

Last fall, Louis Vuitton presented Nicolas Ghesquière’s Spring 2026 womenswear collection at the Louvre in the former summer apartments of Anne of Austria, the French queen and mother of King Louis XIV. Re-envisioned by the set designer Marie-Anne Derville with furniture and art across several centuries, the rooms provided the perfect setting for a celebration of what the house called the “art of living,“ a focus on the boundless freedom to be found in the most intimate of environments. Across an ocean and a continent, photographer Jack Belli and stylist Britt Layton Baptista have found a new backdrop for Ghesquière’s striking and stunning designs in the suburbs of Southern California, proof that, as the saying goes, home is where you make it.
